During skincare, haircare, music, videos, and calls, our phones always ended up leaning against bottles or sitting too close to the wet, never really considered as part of the space.
We had all quietly adapted to the problem. But frustration stays.

Why start with the bathroom?
Bathrooms are built around permanent decisions—mirrors, cabinetry, tile, fixtures, and plumbing. They are hard to change, even as daily behaviors inside them already have evolved.
As a designer working with bathroom products and spaces for years, I wonder:
Could a smaller object help an existing space keep up?
TapNest is our first answer.
Isn’t TapNest just a simple phone holder?
Not quite. Holding your phone was only half the problem.
Most phone holders were designed as temporary tech accessories. But bathrooms are not technical environments. They are personal spaces shaped by care objects like skincare, fragrance, and towels.
We wanted TapNest to behave more like part of the room: something that could stay, belong, and support different routines.
Is OORA only about phones?
No. TapNest is one expression of a broader direction.
OORA seeks products that fill genuine gaps—things people didn't know they needed until they saw them. We explore how to make everyday environments feel more considered.
We create thoughtful objects that help familiar spaces adapt to you and make technology visible, but non-intrusive.
